Accreditation Council for establish of Grand Canyon National Park and Dulong River National Park in Nujiang was held in Kunming, Yunnan Province. These two national park projects were approved by Yunnan national park committee of experts, to make better conditions to implement crucial action plan of poverty alleviation for the all-round well-off society by “Ecological compensation shakes off poverty” in Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture (hereinafter referred to as "Nujiang Prefecture").

Nujiang Prefecture, located in the northwest of Yunnan Province, has abundant natural resource and vulnerable eco environment. The provincial government of Yunnan pointed out that the construction of national parks will convert the ecological advantages of Nujiang Prefecture to the power of development, and make ecological protection as an important approach for poverty alleviation. Nujiang Prefecture started application work of national park in 2014 aiming to explore harmonious win-win approach for both ecological protection and economic development, and both forest resource conservation and community poverty alleviation.
